SERVICES / Dietary Services For Long Term Care Facilities
Each facility's Dietary Services are organized to provide nutritional care according to resident’s needs consistent with individual care plans. Nutritional care is provided consistent with current Ontario Dietetic Association / Hospital Association Nutritional Care manual and professional dietetic standards.The Food Service department is supervised by a qualified Food Services Manager. Their supervision provides residents with the following specifics in planning the efficient delivery of dietary services by
- Organizing the department to deliver a cost-effective service that meets Ministry criteria with respect to nutritional and dietary needs.
- Coordinating the service to celebrate the seasons and promote enjoyment.
- Recommend relevant changes to the dietary services that promote a pleasant dining experience for each resident.
- Prepare and administer the Dietary Department’s operational budgets.
